Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish professional standards, ensure exceptional customer service, maintain safety, and promote integrity throughout all operations of National Chauffeur. All employees, contractors, and affiliated drivers are expected to comply with this policy.
1. Professional Conduct
- Treat all clients, colleagues, and members of the public with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
- Maintain honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
- Avoid discriminatory, abusive, or inappropriate language or behavior.
- Represent National Chauffeur in a positive and professional manner.
2. Customer Service Standards
- Arrive punctually for all bookings.
- Greet clients respectfully and assist with luggage when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding clients' personal information, travel plans, and conversations.
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and courteous travel experience.
3. Safety
- Comply with all road rules, traffic laws, and transport regulations.
- Drive safely and responsibly at all times.
- Never operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any medication that may impair driving ability.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle damage immediately.
4. Vehicle Standards
- Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and well-maintained before every booking.
- Conduct routine safety inspections before commencing work.
- Report mechanical issues promptly and do not operate an unsafe vehicle.
5. Dress Code
Employees and chauffeurs must maintain a professional appearance by:
- Wearing clean and well-presented business attire or the approved company uniform.
- Maintaining good personal hygiene and grooming.
- Wearing appropriate footwear suitable for professional duties.
6. Confidentiality
All business information, client details, pricing, and company records are confidential and must not be disclosed without proper authorization.
7. Workplace Behaviour
National Chauffeur is committed to providing a respectful workplace free from:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Discrimination
- Violence or threatening behaviour
Any concerns should be reported to management immediately.
8. Use of Company Property
Company vehicles, equipment, and resources must only be used for authorised business purposes and must be treated with care and respect.
9. Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking
- Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited while working.
- Smoking or vaping is not permitted in company vehicles.
- Employees must be fit for duty at all times.
10. Mobile Phones
Mobile phones must only be used in accordance with road laws. Drivers must not use handheld devices while driving.
11. Compliance with Laws
All employees and contractors must comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, transport regulations, and workplace health and safety obligations.
12. Breach of Policy
Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, including counselling, suspension, termination of employment or contract, and, where appropriate, legal action.
